Igor Severyanin’S Poetry In Translation Into Polish. Tradition And Innovation (Two Examples), Anna Bednarczyk

The article considers the translation of two poems by Igor Severyanin into Polish. In the first case a translational analysis of the source and the target text is offered. The second case is an example of a pre-translation analysis followed by an attempt to make a translation. What is taken into account is the issue of the old combining with the new, the innovative with the traditional in the works of the poet (on the level of vocabulary, imagery and form) and the task of reproducing this fusion in translation. In his article “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and the Spirit of Digital Capitalism,”Collin Chua analyzes the myth of innovation and the fantasy of entrepreneurship. The article draws on foundational perspectives regarding the spirit of capitalism established by Max Weber, later extended by Luc Boltanski and Eve Chiapello. The myth of innovation is interrogated, as innovation now operates as a rhetorical and managerial strategy that must be pursued in order to be competitive in today’s capitalist system. Cultural heritage is a major driver of behavioral, social and economic norms in a society. This paper studies the relationship between culture and economic development by focusing on how individualism is related to technological innovation. It hypothesizes that individualistic people tend to have beliefs and views that emphasize the importance of innovation and creativity. Using individual-level data from the World Values Survey, the results provide some evidence in favor of this hypothesis.

Innovation and entrepreneurship are integral to the development and vitality of contemporary communities and economies. Accordingly, entrepreneurial leadership is directly relevant to the Extension education mission. Yet research examining the entrepreneurial leadership propensities of Extension educators is scant. We applied a survey design to analyze the entrepreneurial leadership propensities of Extension educators throughout Arizona using two constructs: innovation and entrepreneurial strategy. The data revealed modest levels of entrepreneurial leadership propensities across the sample. Recommendations aimed at enhancing the entrepreneurial leadership propensities of Extension educators are provided.

Makerspaces present unique possibilities for creative partnerships within libraries, including the opportunity for interdisciplinary use of emerging technologies with archival objects and primary sources. One example of this type of interdisciplinary collaboration is the fabrication of cultural heritage replicas via 3D scanning and printing of historical university objects in academic libraries. Extension professionals are being challenged to innovate their work, yet day-to-day responsibilities do not always allow time or space for creativity and innovation. In early 2016, Ohio State University Extension held its inaugural Innovate Extension event, a hackathon-style gathering focused on creative collaboration during which teams competed for grant funds by developing an idea, plan, and pitch over the course of a day. Turnout exceeded expectations, and participants gave high marks to the experience. This article is devoted to the study and analysis of methods of economic evaluation of the use of innovative technologies in agriculture. In particular, various approaches to assess the level and effectiveness of innovative technologies in the crop sector developed by Russian scientists are considered. As a result of generalization of the studied indicators, the system of evaluation of the results of the use of innovative technologies in crop production, consisting of two interrelated groups: indicators characterizing the result/effect and indicators of the innovation climate, is proposed.
