Of The New Calvary Baptist Church Laid On Sunday

The cornerstone laying at the new Calvary Baptist church on South Mulberry street attracted a large crowd of people Sunday afternoon. The ceremonies were dignified and impressive and met with great favor. Rev. Jones of Cleveland was secured by the local church as speaker of the day and his remarks were very well received. There were a large number of visitors present from Columbus and Cleveland. The following program was carried out:

Hymn, "God's Praises" -- Choir.

A number of people were baptized Sunday afternoon by Rev. Hampton of the Calvary Baptist church. The ceremonies took place in the Kokosing river at the West High street bridge. There was a large attendance at the ceremonies.
