Objective To compare the efficacy, tolerability, and compliance of iron fumarate, iron bisglycinate, and iron polysaccharides for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy. Background Iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy is a significant worldwide health problem. Therefore, routine iron supplementation during the second half of pregnancy has been recommended. Patients and methods A double-blind study was carried out at the Obstetrics Department in Wadi-El Natroun General Hospital on 120 pregnant females with confirmed iron deficiency anemia from August 2019 till August 2020.
