Governors State University Revamps Popular Degree Program, Office Of Public Affairs

In order to best meet the needs of its students, the Board of Governors program at Governors State University has become the School of Interdisciplinary Learning.
The Board of Governors Bachelor of Arts degree has been renamed the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies to better reflect the focus of the program.
Other significant changes include the addition of degree specific classes including introductory and capstone courses, and the development of degree pathways.

The CenterPoint Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Governors State University is offering the first in its series of global trade seminars. "Going Global: Finding, Getting, and Keeping International Business"will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Governors State University from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost for the seminar is $75.00 per person, which includes a copy of the book "Global Business Growth Skills" by Michael P. Governors State University Announces Its First Doctorate Program, Office Of Public Affairs

Governors State University announces its first professional doctoral degree program. The Doctorate of Physical Therapy will begin during the Spring/Summer trimester of 2007. Governors State University is one of only seven colleges or universities in Illinois offering degrees in physical therapy (PT).
The program will be offered through the university’s College of Health Professions; currently the university’s fastest growing college. The doctoral program was developed in response to ongoing changes in health professions education and recommendations from the profession itself.
