Remote court hearings (RCHs) have significantly benefited the Brunei Civil Court in maintaining its judicial system and reducing backlogs as a preventative measure, during COVID-19. RCHs have enhanced the judicial system's accessibility, saving resources and increasing court performance and productivity. However, technical problems and mistrust have slowed the RCH's adoption. This study assessed user satisfaction with remote court hearings using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. A qualitatively oriented mixed methods case study was conducted to investigate the effects of incorporating LEGO robotics into a seventh-grade mathematics curriculum. Using the lenses of Social Constructivist Theory and the Five Stages of Technology Integration, this research focused on the development of proportional reasoning skills. The data show students experienced success in developing their proportional reasoning skills as they completed tasks using the robotics. The quantitative data shows evidence of growth in understanding and development of proportional reasoning. The qualitative analysis provides evidence that students developed their understanding through collaborative discussions as they worked through the different technology stages. …

This study explored the multiple intelligence representation in the micro-credentials designed by Malaysian educators and the reasons for integrating multiple intelligences in their course materials. The study was guided by the eight indicators of multiple intelligences suggested by Howard Gardner. We conducted in-depth qualitative interviews with 20 educators from a university in the northern region of Malaysia. The thematic analysis guided by Braun and Clarke shows a number of reasons why educators included the indicators in designing their content for micro-credential. Educators generally demonstrated that they used all the multiple intelligences indicators in designing the micro-credentials. The findings are encouraging …

As Black youth face race-related stress from personal and vicarious experiences with police, practices advancing youth’s coping self-efficacy and agency are needed. We describe the pilot of a program supporting Black adolescents in creating virtual narratives detailing encounters and resolutions with police and offer preliminary observations of how this program could facilitate racial coping and emotional support. This essay argues that the ODPA [Ohio Data Protection Act], which has become a model for similar laws and legislative proposals in several other states, in effect creates a process-based standard for cybersecurity. It does so by incorporating the risk-based approach used by the listed cybersecurity frameworks as the defacto standard for reasonable security for organizations seeking to qualify for the Act’s affirmative defense.
