This paper investigates and reviews the research and development of biosensors for water environment monitoring. Biosensors with different sensing mechanisms and materials, such as enzyme, immune, DNA, tissue, microorganism biosensors, as well as their applications for detecting various water pollution parameters are described.

China's government pays a great attention to the risk, and is engaging to prevent both "Gray Rhino" and "Black Swan". This paper tries to analyze the "Gray Rhino" and "Black Swan" for China's economy. Molecular sensors are the biosensors made of macrobiomolecules. They are significant tools for real-time imaging of the molecular events in living cells and in vivo. Molecular beacons (MB), fluorescence/bioluminescence resonance energy transfer sensors (FRET/BRET) and molecular fluorescence complementation systems (BiFC, TriFC, etc.) are major types of molecular biosensors for live cell imaging applications. Xiongan New Area is rich in geothermal resources, which may play a key role in the construction of ecological civilization. The shallow geothermal energy ( < 200 m), and deep geothermal energy stored in sandstone and karstic reservoirs are rich and suitable for exploition and utilization. The deep carbonate geothermal resources is particularly large and easy to be exploited. Geothermal resource stored in super deep layer (>3000 m) is also of good potential. The Xiongxian City located in the Xiongan New Area, has pioneered in the large-scale district heating using karstic geothermal resources, which is the largest single project in the world that has a total geothermal heating capacity of 4.5×10 6 m 2.
