In commemoration of Human Rights Day and in partnership with Eckerd College and Tampa Bay Refugee Task Force, the Studio@620 welcomes the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) photo exhibit "Invisible in the City: The Lives of Urban Refugees" for its Florida debut December 7-11, 2010. This international touring photo project features compelling black-and-white photographs taken by Zalmaï Ahad, a former Afghan refugee. All are invited to an exhibit reception on Thursday, December 9 from 4:30-6:30 PM. Duvekot has gotten hotter, faster than any local songwriter in recent memory." Singer songwriter Ellis Paul says "Antje is the rare artist that can write about the social and the personal in the same breath. Join the Studio@620 as we welcome oboist and composer Matt Sullivan and earthwork painter Ken Cro-Ken as they present Multiple Oneness: Time Released Art and Music. An oboe master class with Matt Sullivan and Florida Orchestra Principal Oboist Katherine Young will be presented on Thursday March 18th from 5:30-7:30 pm. A multimedia performance with Matt Sullivan and Ken Cro-Ken will be held on Friday March 19th from 8-9 PM. This collaborative journey of expression will feature live music, video projections and "reactive improvisation" action painting.
