William J. Stribling (Director) is a junior at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in Film/Television Production. A St. Petersburg native and a 2008 graduate of the Pinellas County Center for the Arts (Musical Theatre Eikon Winner), Stribling is no stranger to The Studio@620. Though he now works primarily behind the scenes, Stribling has performed in numerous local plays and musicals. Economic Impact Of Arts And Culture In St. Petersburg, Maling Ebrahimpour, John Collins, Maria Luisa Corton

This report presents an analysis based on the input-output method to estimate the economic impact of the arts and culture business cluster in the Saint Petersburg area. The method consists of considering the economic linkages between the various sectors which cause every dollar of expenditures to "ripple through" the local economy resulting in every dollar of expenditures being multiplied to various degrees. The outcome is a larger economic effect than the initial expenditure. These "multiplier" effects continue to contribute to the economic impact of the expenditure until the effects "leave" the area of study or become too small to measure. …

The honor of your presence is requested at The Studio@620's 6th Anniversary Celebration and Social Justice Awards Gala to be held on Sunday June 20 at 6:20 PM. This evening serves to honor local jazz trombonist Buster Cooper as we present him with the 2nd Annual Justice Pioneer Award. Cooper, a St. Petersburg native and a graduate of Gibbs High School Class of 1947, has a legendary career having played at the Apollo Theater as well as with such figures as Lionel Hampton, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington.

This exhibition brings together diverse groups of people, spans the gulfs of age and ethnicity, honors experience and encourages collaboration. Its goal: to develop a fresh cultural awareness among both the artists and the audience while giving opportunities for creative growth and sharing among the participants. Please join us on Friday, February 5th, at 7:00 p.m., for The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler, presented by the UUC Players. This funny, moving, and thoroughly entertaining play explores women's feelings about their bodies and their sexuality. This production, for one night only, is a co-fundraiser between the Studio@620 and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Clearwater. A portion of the proceeds will also go to The Haven, the domestic abuse shelter serving Pinellas county.
