The purpose of this study is to evaluate the present college and AFROTC curricula as a means of determining how the curricula might be improved in order to attain better preparation of AFROTC cadets for service as Air Force officers. The areas selected for special consideration in this study are: (1) the degree of occupational satisfaction among graduates of the AFROTC program; (2) the socio-economic adjustment of the AFROTC graduates with serving actively in the Air Force; (4) the areas of University curriculum deficiency; and (5) the weakness in the AFROTC curriculum.

It is the purpose of this investigation to record teachers' opinions about methods used in teaching social studies. It should reveal to what extent the unit methods of teaching social studies is used. In most cases, it will reveal what the practices are, or what practices teachers wish to use in the unit method approach to teaching social studies.

An additional purpose may be served by bringing the importance of unit teaching to the attention of teachers in our state. Devices and methods involved in the questionnaire may prove useful to those giving it careful thought.

It is the purpose of this study to compare two methods of teaching selected aspects of English grammar--grammatical definitions reinforced by exercises and the diagramming of sentences and grammatical definitions as the basis of teaching composition--to ascertain whether or not one will produce better results than the other on a standardized grammar test, when used with two groups of paired ninth-graders matched according to age, sex, intelligence, and reading ability.
