A Curriculum Guidance Program For The Cadets In The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Charles Frederick Gieswein
A Curriculum Guidance Program For The Cadets In The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Charles Frederick Gieswein
Teacher Education, Educational Leadership & Policy ETDs
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the present college and AFROTC curricula as a means of determining how the curricula might be improved in order to attain better preparation of AFROTC cadets for service as Air Force officers. The areas selected for special consideration in this study are: (1) the degree of occupational satisfaction among graduates of the AFROTC program; (2) the socio-economic adjustment of the AFROTC graduates with serving actively in the Air Force; (4) the areas of University curriculum deficiency; and (5) the weakness in the AFROTC curriculum.

A Spectrophotometric Study Of The Analytical Chemistry Of Vanadium, Kenton E. Bentley
A Spectrophotometric Study Of The Analytical Chemistry Of Vanadium, Kenton E. Bentley
Chemistry and Chemical Biology ETDs
Vanadium is most frequently encountered in analytical chemistry in the volumetric determination of vanadium by oxidation-reduction titration. Vanadium is rarely determined gravimetrically and finds little use as a reagent in gravimetric analysis. The simple ionic forms of the valence states of vanadium and the colors of acidic, aqueous solutions of these ions, as reported in the literature, are listed in Table 1. There is some confusion in the nomenclature of the ionic forms; that given in Table 1 is by analogy to chromium.

Safe Thermal Operation Of Power Transistors Under Pulsed Excitation, George R. Swain
Safe Thermal Operation Of Power Transistors Under Pulsed Excitation, George R. Swain
Electrical and Computer Engineering ETDs
One desires to find the relationship between thermal stability and such factors as temperature within the transistor, power dissipation in the transistor junctions, collector saturation current, and thermal resistance. In the approach set forth in this paper, the theory of solid state heat flow is applied to a simplified thermal model of a power transistor.
A Bio-Assay And Histochemical Study Of Antidiuretic Hormone In Normal And Adrenalectomized Rats, Jean Kautz Lauber
A Bio-Assay And Histochemical Study Of Antidiuretic Hormone In Normal And Adrenalectomized Rats, Jean Kautz Lauber
Biology ETDs
The role of neurohypophyseal hormone vasopressin in water and electrolyte regulation has been of interest to both physiologists and clinicians. This interest has been stimulated recently by identification of the chemical structure and synthesis of this polypeptide hormone by duVigneaud and his co-workers, an accomplishment which won for duVigneaud the Nobel Prize in 1955.

The Synthesis Of Some Triazole Derivatives, John M. Collier
The Synthesis Of Some Triazole Derivatives, John M. Collier
Chemistry and Chemical Biology ETDs
The triazoles have been known since the late 1800's when von Pechmann discovered the ring system during the course of his work with osazones. He first assigned the name "osotriazone" to the parent ring; this was later changed to "osotriazole", a name which is still retained for certain derivatives obtained from the sugar osazones.
