This project is about the development and implementation of a new online training module in March 2021 to a small group of an Amsterdam consultancy. It consisted of four two and a half hour zoom sessions on Thursday evenings. The training is placed in a context of kissing the soul for new unexpected beautiful and meaningful organizational impact. Creative problem solving skills are an important tool in many areas of life. This project is a written account of what a workshop and coaching methods for Black males of low socio-economic status (SES) who attend an intensive creative problem solving skill-strengthening boot camp to enhance resiliency looks like in real time. This project explores the idea of fostering creativity in the physical work environment through the use of a training center. The training center would be a place where employees and management of an organization could learn about the Creative Problem Solving process using elements such as play, incubation, and an individual’s interaction with their physical surroundings. This Master’s project focuses on different ways to nurture everyday creativity at the work place apart from the well-known “scheduled” brainstorm sessions. The project covers an extensive literature review and the description of three concrete products as an outcome. The finished project includes the design of a two-hour workshop, a one-day training course, and a ten-step coaching program, all about “everyday creativity at work”. This project was an effort to design, promote and offer a one-day pilot training in creativity from a holistic perspective. The approach to teaching creativity was holistic in the sense that it incorporated emotional intelligence, and introduced participants to cognitive skills, affective skills, and intuition. This project also served as a stepping stone to becoming a holistic creativity professional by giving me the opportunity to test my potential and incorporate holistic training into the array of skills and services that I can offer.
