The present research was conducted in order to determine whether timing a test (such as on the ACT) causes a decrease in accuracy compared to the same test given without any time limit. Participants were given two equivalent tests (Test A & Test B), one timed and the other not timed, in the four ways: 1) test A first with test B timed, 2) test A first with test A timed, 3) test B first with test A timed, and 4) test B first with test B timed.
