The purpose of this study was to identify changes in neuromuscular performance variables evaluated through the countermovement jump test before and after (0 hours, after session and 24h post) of a simulated futsal protocol in young university female athletes. Fourteen eumenorrheic, healthy and experienced female futsal players were randomly assigned to an intervention group n = 7) or a control group (n = 7). Treadmills are utilized as a training tool to improve aerobic fitness, but precise understanding of intensity and the corresponding physiological strain is critical for optimizing exercise prescription and associated adaptations. Running on non-motorized, curved treadmills may result in greater oxygen uptake (VO2), increased heart rate (HR), and increased rating of perceived exertion (RPE) compared to traditional motorized treadmills. Thus, the purpose of this study was to explore the perspectives of female collegiate cross-country runners from a Division I school on eating behaviors and attitudes toward health. Only 20.3% of American adults meet the Center for Disease Control’s minimum recommended volume of exercise for anaerobic and aerobic physical activities (11). This small proportion representing those who reach the suggested physical activity levels is an issue of concern for researchers and practitioners in health-related disciplines; further, the Centers for Disease Control report that physical inactivity levels are even higher for women than those of males. Studies show the beneficial influence of the physical activity on women quality of life. The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of a physical activity program on the quality of life (QV) of women, initially sedentary, employees of UNICAMP, 47.4±8 years (n=16). The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of circuit resistance training (CRT) on fat free mass (FFM), fat mass (FM) and cytokine responses in sedentary women, 39.71 ± 3.8 years old (n=14). Purpose: Longer time in the United States (US) is associated with increased risk of obesity in Hispanic immigrants, particularly for women. Although previous research has established an association between nutrition and acculturation, little attention has focused on physical activity. In this study, we examine the associations between acculturation on Mexican origin women’s body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), and report of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA).

African American women are vulnerable to physical inactivity compared to white women. Measured and self-reported neighborhood characteristics may be associated with physical activity (PA), yet few studies have examined these factors among minority women. The purpose of this study was to investigate the associations of measured and self-reported neighborhood characteristics with individual PA. The Pedestrian Environment Data Scan was completed for 25% of randomly selected residential street segments within a 400 meter radius of each participants’ address.
