Evaluating Anemone And Ranunculus Production Strategies In Utah, Shannon Rauter

As the number of cut flower growers in the Intermountain West increases, there is a demand for regional information about optimal planting dates, season extension, and locally adapted cultivars to improve yield and harvest timing for anemone (Anemone coronaria) and ranunculus (Ranunculus asiaticus) cut flowers. Existing grower recommendations can be problematic because the combination of late spring freezes and hot, bright summer days can delay harvests and lower flower quality.
