The Aga Khan University (AKU) is the only university in the developing world that is serving through its eleven campuses spread across eight countries and three continents. It has a network of nine libraries, although small in size, in four developing courtiers in two regions (South Asia and East Africa). The university has recently implemented a library management system to integrate all nine libraries in four counties using a single shared database. The Nation Media Group Information has a Library-cum-Archive serving the company and the Kenyan public. It holds back issues of newspapers since1959 when the first paper was published to current. Bulky print copies have been scanned and are now available in easily-accessible and retrievable digital format.The process is still ongoing to also digitise the photographic content available.As a media resource centre, it captures the nations heart beat in both images, text, audio and audiovisual format. Fromthe resources available books, documentaries, publications and advertorialshave beenpublished. The Aga Khan University (AKU) is serving through eleven campuses spread across eight countries in three continents. Developed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Nutrition Care Manual serves as an evidence-based, point-of-care tool for students, educators, and professionals. The content covers the most common nutrition issues, professional background information, treatment plans, and patient education information. However, the user interface is confusing with few paths for logical search or navigation and lacks many of the common features users expect from most electronic resources, such as permalinks or mobile viewing. While the content and flexibility meet a previously unfulfilled need in allied health resources, the interface problems hinder maximum utilization of the content quickly.
