Stop “Going Over” Exams!: The Multiple Benefits Of Team Exams, Gary Stark

Journal Articles

This article describes the use of team exams as a means of postexam feedback and explains the benefits of their use. Team exams are a simple procedure for those who use exams in their classrooms. Team exams can be a valuable experiential exercise in management classes but offer educational benefits in any class. Among the benefits of team exams are accurate feedback and active engagement of students in postexam review. Team exams can also serve to check the validity of exam questions and reduce the angst often associated with “going over” exams.

Inside UMaine was the employee newsletter issued starting in 2005. The newsletter was published once each month during the academic year. The intent was to "complement the university's other communication vehicles, including the UMaine Today magazine, UMaine Today Online and various other online Information Services, such as the university's Web-based calendar." The newsletter took over where the Maine Perspective left off to promote professional achievement and stories about campus events and advancements.

Cheyenne Chief Harvey Pratt, a forensic artist for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, discusses the 138th anniversary of the November 27, 1868 attack at the Washita Battlefield near Cheyenne during a special panel discussion recently on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford. Listening is Dr. Henrietta Mann, interim president of the Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribal College on the SWOSU campus. A full audience listened to various perspectives of the attack’s meanings, impacts and legacies that followed the attack. Other speakers were historian Jerome A. Greene and Cheyenne Peace Chief Lawrence Hart.
