Privatization Pitfalls Update, 2008, University Of Maine
General University of Maine Publications
This briefing paper was an update to an earlier publication by the Bureau of Labor Education on the “pitfalls and problems” of privatization (1998). Inside UMaine was the employee newsletter issued starting in 2005. The newsletter was published once each month during the academic year. The intent was to "complement the university's other communication vehicles, including the UMaine Today magazine, UMaine Today Online and various other online Information Services, such as the university's Web-based calendar." The newsletter took over where the Maine Perspective left off to promote professional achievement and stories about campus events and advancements.

This study also investigated whether there were certain adolescent resiliencies and types of forgiveness that can predict lower levels of negative anger expression in adolescents. This research was built on two conceptual models: Wolin and Wolin's (1993) Challenge Model and the Forgiveness Process Model (Enright & Human Development Study …

UMaine’s biggest weakness in 2001-02 was pretty glaring, and it didn’t take long for opponents to see it. A lack of guards due to unexpected off-season losses and injuries. Head Coach Dr. John Giannini believes he and his staff addressed that issue as they head into 2002-03 with backcourt depth to go with the nucleus of a team that reached the America East Championship game last season.

The 2001-02 University of Maine hockey team may return several familiar faces, but it's strengths and weaknesses will not at all resemble last year's 20-12-7 Black Bear Squad.
Defense carried the 2000-01 Black Bears to their 11th NCAA appearance in 17 seasons under the direction of Head Coach Shawn Walsh. UMaine finished last season ranked seventh nationally and sixth in scoring defense, allowing only 2.44 goals against per contest.

Even with these obstacles staring Maine basketball fans in the face, the 1990-91 season has the potential to be one of the most exciting in some years.
