College student debt, now topping one trillion

dollars, is one of the most severe issues affecting

higher education. But if that amount (higher than

Americans’ combined credit card debt) sounds scandalous,

the problem is compounded by the fact that

it is affecting disproportionally people of color.

In a report published by the Brookings Institute

last October titled “Black-white disparity in student

loan debt more than triples after graduation,” its

authors found that by the moment they earn their bachelor’s

degrees, black college graduates owe $7,400

Anti-Bias Or Not: A Case Study Of Two Early Childhood Educators, Flora Farago

This work examines anti-bias teaching practices through a case study of two early childhood educators working in classrooms with 4- to 5-year-old children. The educators self-identified that they intentionally addressed diversity in their classrooms using the anti-bias curricular approach (Derman-Sparks & the ABC Task Force, 1989). Specifically, the study explored how early childhood educators used anti-bias practices, and how educators discussed race and gender with young children. The methodology involved semi-structured interviews, naturalistic observations of educator-child interactions, and a survey of educators’ beliefs and classroom practices regarding race and gender. This paper reports on a study which investigated the effect of activities to promote awareness of specific prioritised graduate attributes on the quality of reflection displayed in student work-placement reflective blog assessments. The focus of the paper is on the results from a thematic analysis of reflective writing assisted by NVivo software from a control and research group, using the a priori codes of ‘reflection’ and ‘graduate attributes’, as part of a Participatory Action Research study. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1. เพื่อศึกษาและนำเสนอบทเพลงในสไตล์ต่างๆ ที่ใช้ในวิชาปฏิบัติกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าระดับปริญญาตรี 2. เพื่อศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของบทเพลงในสไตล์ต่างๆ และศึกษาวิธีการเปลี่ยนสไตล์บทเพลง งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) มีขั้นตอนดังนี้ 1) วิเคราะห์รวบรวมสาระดนตรีที่ใช้สอนกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าในระดับอุดมศึกษา 2) วิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบดนตรีของบทเพลงในสไตล์ต่างๆ จากตำราสอนกีตาร์และบทเพลงที่คัดสรร 3) ตรวจสอบความถูกต้องโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าในสไตล์ต่างๆ 12 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเป็นเครื่องมือวิจัยเกี่ยวกับองค์ประกอบดนตรีของแต่ละสไตล์ จากนั้นวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลของบทเพลงกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าในสไตล์ต่างๆ จำแนกตามองค์ประกอบดนตรี ผลการวิจัยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ตอนได้แก่ ตอนที่ 1 ผลการศึกษาและนำเสนอชุดบทเพลงที่ใช้สอนในวิชาปฏิบัติกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าระดับปริญญาตรีในบทเพลงสไตล์บลูส์ 30 เพลง คันทรี่ 30 เพลง ร็อค 40 เพลง และฟังก์กับโซล 30 เพลง โดยวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบดนตรี 4 ด้าน 1) จังหวะวิเคราะห์ ความเร็ว (tempo) อัตราจังหวะ (Time signature) และรูปแบบจังหวะ 2) ทำนองวิเคราะห์การใช้บันใดเสียงและโมด 3) เสียงประสานวิเคราะห์ลักษณะการใช้ทางเดินคอร์ด 4) สีสันของเสียงวิเคราะห์การใช้เทคนิคและการใช้ประเภทของเสียงกีตาร์ เอฟเฟค ซึ่งรายละเอียดดนตรีในแต่ละสไตล์มีความแตกต่างกัน ตอนที่ 2 ผลของวิธีการเปลี่ยนสไตล์บทเพลงที่ได้จากการวิเคราะห์ในตอนที่ 1 นำมาสรุปสิ่งที่เป็นอัตลักษณ์ของดนตรีแต่ละสไตล์เพื่อใช้ในการเปลี่ยนสไตล์บทเพลง และนำเสนอตัวอย่างการเปลี่ยนสไตล์บทเพลงที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น 5 บทเพลง
