Poverty rates in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) have risen, with 47% of the region’s population living in poverty. In Nigeria, approximately 87 million are classified as extremely poor. Existing research on the relationship between entrepreneurship and poverty in this region is fragmented and inconsistent. Traditional economic measures of poverty have proven inadequate, prompting the need for a multidimensional approach. The paper examined the mediating effect of entrepreneurial activity on the relationship between the precursors of entrepreneurship and poverty. The institutional theory suggests that multinational enterprises (MNEs) need to conform to institutional norms to gain legitimacy, thereby enhancing their survival in host countries. Conversely, from the perspective of business strategy, MNEs gain a competitive advantage by leveraging organizational capabilities worldwide. These two perspectives imply that MNEs face conflicting pressures when adopting HRM practices in their host country subsidiaries. This article discusses the rationale for why MNEs’ subsidiaries should intermediately conform to both internal and external institutional forces and adopt a combination of home and host country HRM practices. Millennials’ Perception Towards Adaption And Intention Of M-Banking: Experience From A Developing Country, Noman Hasan, Md. Shahed Mahmud, Abdul Gaffar Khan, Reshma Pervin Lima, Shiblu Miah

In recent years, m-banking has been developed rapidly around the world. The research aims to measure millennials’ perception towards adaption and intention of m-banking from a developing country’s perspective. A PLS-SEM modeling approach was performed to test the hypothetical model. The empirical results reveal that perceived ease of use, perceived security and privacy, and perceived cost significantly affect the millennials’ attitude to adopt m-banking. In contrast, perceived usefulness and perceived self-efficacy have an insignificant effect. Furthermore, attitude towards adopting m-banking significantly impacts adoption and intention among millennials. Practical and theoretical implications have been identified based on the study results.

In making decisions, stakeholders utilize not only quantitative information but also qualitative information, such as annual reports. However, annual reports in narrative form are often used to exaggerate company performance data. One aspect that influences stakeholders’ decision is tone. This study aims to examine the impact of positive tone disclosure in management analysis reports and discussions on company value. The objectives of this research aims to examine the effect of corporate fundamental financial ratios on stock prices and to examine whether firm age determine stock prices in the perspective of signaling theory. Neglecting an organization’s readiness for change may have far-reaching influence on the success of a change process. This study investigates two factors that impact organizational change success, leadership and job satisfaction. The aim of study is to examine the relationship between transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and change readiness in the Saudi petrochemical industry context. The results reveal that change readiness increases job satisfaction of employees when leaders apply the principles of transformational leadership. The findings have implications for HR practitioners in designing leadership development programs to ensure job satisfaction, better and desired outcomes from an organizational change program.

The Relationship Between Microfinance Bank And Economic Growth In Nigeria, Muhammad-Bashir Owolabi Yusuf, Ridwan Olabisi Yusuff, Daud Ishola Jimoh

The goal of this study was to investigate how Nigeria's economy and microfinance banks are related, using time series data from 1992 to 2021. The relationship was assessed using the ARDL model. Short-term negative relationship exists between Microfinance Bank Asset and Economic growth. Specifically, the results indicate that a rise in the assets of microfinance banks (MFBA) will slow Nigeria's economic expansion. Economic growth in Nigeria is considerable and favorably correlated with microfinance banks loans and advances. Finally, it was clear that there is a long-run equilibrium link between economic growth, microfinance banks' assets and their loans and advances.

Among these biases, overconfidence is a common phenomenon managers tend to exhibit while making decisions. Modelling a dataset of 5230 globally listed firms through two statistical approaches reflecting the primary principles of Natural-Resource-Based Theory and Institutional Theory, respectively, this study provides evidence that sustainability initiatives developed by firms are being rewarded in the form of improved Corporate Financial Performance (CFP). The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of the socio-cultural concept ‘Wasta’ as well as religious values and principles in employee engagement in the hospitality industry in the United Arab Emirates, embedded in the country’s socio-economic, cultural and institutional context.
