The Doctrine Of Man In Genesis, Pyeng Seh Oh
The Doctrine Of Man In Genesis, Pyeng Seh Oh
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
It is, therefore, the fundamental teaching about man. in the Pre-Mosaic revelation that is dealt with in this thesis. This study will treat both individual man and a group of Men, viz., a society. It is plain from the previous explanation that this study is not limited by the traditional dogmatic division of Christian anthropology. It is a synthetic or systematic exegesis instead of the familiar consecutive exegesis, chapter by chapter, as presented in commentaries. This material will be collected under five cardinal themes on the doctrine of man in Genesis, with each theme displaying disparities and sim1larities or opinion …

The Pauline Concept Of The Body Of Christ And Its Significnace In The Literature Of The Ecumenical Movement, Raymond Schulze
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
The task of this study, however, is to move toward an understanding of one aspect of Paul's body theology. " Our concern is not to explain what Paul means by σῶμα nor even what he means by σῶμα τοβ χριοτοῦ, but to discover what he means when he calls the Church σῶμα and σῶμα τοβ χριοτοῦ.

The Scriptual Conception Of Life, Chung An Chin
The Scriptual Conception Of Life, Chung An Chin
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
The Christian doctrine of hum.an nature as a section of theology is fundamentally built upon the basis of the divine revelation in Scripture, and looks at .man in his relation to God. Therefore, the study of man's life in theology has its own principle which is different from that of science or philosophy. Since Christian anthropology is based on the divine revelation, there must be no contradiction between theological and scientific know1edge concerning life, but we cannot expect to get every detail of scientific answer of human nature out of the Bible.
Children And The Church's Worship, George Hoyer
Children And The Church's Worship, George Hoyer
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
The burden of the thesis will be to ask how these Christians who are not adults can be helped to receive the grace of the Word of God; how they can be helped to respond to Him in worshiping words that will be a prelude to a worshiping life; and how they can learn to recognize their worshiping brethren in the family of God; ultimately how they can learn to do this applying of the Word from Sacrament and Scripture, this replying of worship and, this supplying of edification in the Church's corporate worship and in the Church's Eucharistic service.

The Eschatology Of The Lutheran Symbols, Walter Pieper
The Eschatology Of The Lutheran Symbols, Walter Pieper
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
For some years there has been a renewed interest in eschatology. A specific treatment of eschatology from the Lutheran point of view, however, is still lacking. With the exception of Schlink and Brunstaed, neither of whose treatment is completely adequate, nothing has been written on the subject of the -eschatological expectation found in the Lutheran Symbols. The goal of this paper, therefore, is to draw the eschatological references from the Symbols to discover how the writers looked at that which lay beyond this life and how this expectancy related to their presentation of the faith.
Athanasius' Doctrine; Of The Incarnation In Light Of Its Historical Context As Reflected In De Incarnatione, Carl Volz
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
It is the author’s hope that this study will not only serve to remind the reader that Arianism is latent in the Church at all times, but will also serve to emphasize the Pauline and Athanasian stress of Christus in nobis. Although the Western Church has grown with the Pauline doctrine of forensic salvation, particularly since the time of Luther, the Athanasian conceptions of the Incarnation are just as purely Pauline, Christ becoming man in order to draw men to God. The fact that a justification fidei is foreign to his way of thinking ought in no way detract from …
The Medieval Sequence And Troupe, John Lemkul
The Medieval Sequence And Troupe, John Lemkul
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
The present thesis primarily is an historical research into the origin and development of. the sequence and the trope. From the Table or Contents it may appear that the order of the chapters is a little unusual, for one usually expects an historical account to be presented in chronological order. But because of what we know and what we do not know about the sequence and trope, the outline of the paper begins with the known and proceeds to the unknown. That is why both the sections on the sequence and the trope begin at the Abbey of St. Gall …
This Do In Remeberance Of Me, Arno Klausmeier
This Do In Remeberance Of Me, Arno Klausmeier
Master of Sacred Theology Thesis
This paper aims to indicate the importance of the background against which our Lord instituted the Sacrament of His Body and His Blood for a proper understanding of the meaning and intention of the words "This do in remembrance of Me." A formulation or approach to a doctrine of the Lord's Supper which proposes to be Biblical cannot be content merely to reiterate the Verba Testamenti in a conflated form and then propose to have exhausted the meaning of "this do". Nor can a formulation which all but ignores the total Sitz im Leben of the scriptural records fail to …
