Taxonomic Survey On The Rogadinae Förster, 1862 (Hymenoptera, Braconidae) In The Northeastern Anatolian Region, Turkey, Ahmet Beyarslan

In order to study the fauna of Rogadinae (Hym., Braconidae) of Turkey, adult specimens were collected from different habitats of the provinces of Ardahan, Erzurum, Iğdır, Kars, and Muş (partially) in the northeastern Anatolian region of Turkey between 2011 and 2014. Specimens were collected from a total of 115 localities. All specimens were obtained from natural vegetation or agricultural areas by using either a sweeping net, Malaise traps, or light traps. Twelve Oak Gall Wasp Species (Hymenoptera, Cynipidae) New To The Turkish Fauna, Serap Mutun, Serdar Di̇nç

This study was conducted to contribute to the Turkish oak gall wasp fauna (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae). Oak cynipid galls were collected between 2011 and 2013 from different regions of Turkey; we found that Andricus assarehi, A. Coriariformis, A. Csokai, A. Glandulae, Andricus legitimus, A. Paradoxus, A. Sadeghii, A. Serotinus, A. Stellatus, A. Trotteri, Cynips longiventris, and Trigonaspis megaptera were new to the Turkish Cynipidae fauna. A new distribution range is also provided for the previously recorded gall wasp species Andricus pseudoaries.

Reedbeds can be characterized as forming a transition between the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. They have distinctive animals adapted to living in aqueous conditions. Because of the lack of data on the mite fauna in marsh habitats of Turkey, this faunistic study was conducted in the Ekşisu Marshes, which resulted in collecting and determining 58 species and 36 genera belonging to 29 families. Of these, Stigmaeus sphagneti (Hull), Neothrombium neglectum (Bruyant), Podothrombium macrocarpum Berlese, Johnstoniana eximia (Berlese), Calyptostomata velutinus (Müller), Heminothrus humicola (Forsslund), Astegistes pilosus (Koch), Achipteria coleoptrata (Linnaeus), and Lauritzenia elegans (Kunst) are new records for the Turkish fauna. …

Marine Harpacticoid (Copepoda, Harpacticoida) Fauna Of The Dilek Peninsula (Aydın, Turkey), Alp Alper, Serdar Sönmez, Serdar Sak, Suphan Karaytuğ

Interstitial and phytal harpacticoid fauna of the mediolittoral zone of the Dilek Peninsula within the border of Aydın Province in Turkey was investigated. Harpacticoid copepods were collected from 7 different localities between 2012 and 2013. As a result, a total of 78 species and subspecies belonging to 48 genera in 18 families were determined. In terms of species richness, the family Miraciidae ranked first with 17 species, followed by Ameiridae with 12 species; Laophontidae with 11 species; Ectinosomatidae with 6 species; Dactylopusiidae, Harpacticidae, Paramesochridae, and Tisbidae with 4 species each; Arenopontiidae and Thalestridae with 3 species each; Peltidiidae and Tetragonicipitidae …

Contribution To The Knowledge Of The Cydnidae(Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Pentatomoidea) Fauna Of Turkey, Gülten Yazici, Yunus Avar, Erol Yildirim

This study is based upon material of the family Cydnidae collected from different localities in Turkey between 1980 and 2012. A total of 13 species of 7 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies, Cydninae and Sehrinae, of the family Cydnidae were recorded from Turkey. Among them, Cydnus aterrimus (Forster, 1771), Macroscytus brunneus (Fabricius, 1803), Canthophorus dubius (Scopoli, 1763), and Tritomegas sexmaculatus (Rambur, 1839) have been found to be the most abundant and widespread species. Separately, Legnotus picipes (Fallén, 1807) is a new record for the Turkish fauna. In addition, new localities are added for some species previously reported for Turkey.

Forty-seven species belonging to 7 genera of Alticini are presented based on the investigations conducted on Davraz Mountain (Isparta). Host plant relationships of 24 species established from the area are listed. Brassicaceae, Scrophulariaceae, and Lamiaceae seem to be the most preferred host plant families among others. Three species from the genus Longitarsus Berthold - namely L. baeticus Leonardi, 1979; L. foudrasi Weise, 1893; and L. tabidus (Fabricius, 1775) - were sampled only from 1900 m and above on the mountain. Five gall midge species were identified as new records for the fauna of Iran from the Joghatay region of Razavi Khorasan Province, NE Iran. These species are Campylomyza flavipes Meigen, 1818 (Micromyinae); Micromya lucorum Rondani, 1840 (Micromyinae); Rabdophaga salicis (Schrank, 1803) (Cecidomyiinae); Rhopalomyia efremovi Fedotova, 1999 (Cecidomyiinae); and Rhopalomyia monogynasphaera Fedotova, 1999 (Cecidomyiinae). As many parts of the country have not been studied in terms of Cecidomyiidae fauna, the gall midge fauna of Iran will be increased considerably with further research.

One genus and 3 species are reported as new records for the fauna of Iran. They are Eriophyes tiliae (Nalepa, 1890) on Tilia begonifolia (Tiliaceae); Aceria tuberculatus Nalepa, 1891 on Tanacetum parthenium (Asteraceae); and Leipothrix liroi (Roiv., 1947) Jocic and Petanovic (2012) on Primula sp. (Primulaceae).

From the serial studies of the Braconidae fauna of Turkey, the subfamily Doryctinae was treated. Adult specimens were collected from various habitats of Turkey between 1979 and 2013. In total, 58 species belonging 25 genera were reported for the studied region, among which 52 species were recorded for the first time from Turkey. This study aimed to identify the ground ensign scale insects in 5 provinces (Ağrı, Bitlis, Hakkari, Iğdır, and Van) in eastern Anatolia, Turkey. In order to achieve this goal, Ortheziidae species were collected from natural and cultivated plants in the 5 provinces listed above between 2005 and 2008. A total of 3 species were found, among them 2 species (Orthezia maroccana Kozár & Konczné Benedicty and Orthezia yashushii Kuwana) that are new records for the Turkish scale insect fauna.

The fauna of the subfamily Scymninae (Coccinellidae: Coleoptera) of Gilgit-Baltistan was explored and studied. This study confirmed the occurrence of 4 species in 2 genera of Scymninae. These include 2 species in genus Scymnus (S. Posticalis Sicard, 1913 and S. Nubilus Mulstant, 1850), and 2 species in genus Stethorus (Stethorus gilvifrons (Mulstant, 1850) and S. Pauperculus (Weise, 1895)). Among these 4 species, S. Posticalis Sicard is reported here as a new record from the study area. Two New Records Of Fruit Flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) For The Fauna Ofaksaray And Mersin Provinces, Mehmet Yaran, Murat Kütük

This study was based on fruit flies collected from Aksaray and Mersin provinces in spring and summer of 2012-2013. During the study, samples were collected from host plants randomly or systematically by using an insect net. In the study, 62 species belonging to 21 genera from 5 subfamilies have been determined, and Dioxyna sororcula and Terellia ivannikovi have been recorded for the first time in Turkey. In addition, adult figures of new records and wing figures of all species are given.

The present study was carried out to determine the occurrence and distribution of the kleptoparasitic bee genus Sphecodes Latreille (Hymenoptera: Halictidae) of Turkey. The material comprises samples collected from various parts of Turkey since the 1960s and certain private collections in Europe. The examination of the material and an overview of the published sources allowed us to reach the conclusion that Sphecodes of Turkey is represented by 33 species.
