Rating scales are an integral component in the assessment of attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults, and a variety of scales designed for this purpose have been developed. Existing reviews of adult ADHD rating scales are limited with respect to their focus, coverage of some clinically relevant content, and/or their reflection of the most recent scales and data. Thus, the current project aimed to identify and thoroughly review current adult ADHD rating scales best suited for clinical practice. This project attempts to create a dialogue about respectful service delivery to Native American families with a child diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Improving interactions between professionals and Native American families can not only advance the ASD child's cognitive and behavioral gains, but also respectfully honors the beliefs of the caregivers. A systematic search of pertinent peer-reviewed empirical sources in the areas of Autism, paraprofessional training, and multicultural psychology was conducted to develop a training resource for paraprofessionals providing home based ABA tutoring. The purpose of this study was to analyze the extent of burnout among full-time faculty at Fullerton College. This study reviewed research on burnout at the community college level and gives insight into burnout's major contributors to. It provides suggestions for intervention to reduce the phenomenon of faculty burnout and recommendations for future research. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey (MBI-ES) was used to measure burnout focusing on the 3 burnout subscales of depersonalization, exhaustion, and personal accomplishment. The purpose of this mixed-methods study was to describe the perceptions of elementary teachers from an urban school district in Southern California regarding their inquiry-based science instructional practices, assessment methods and professional development. The district's inquiry professional development called the California Mathematics and Science Projected, CaMSP lasted for two years. The CaMSP is a competitive grant awarded by the California Department of Education for the National Science Foundation (NSF) to schools and districts that meet the grant criteria for inquiry-based professional development. Peer supervision is an evolving mode of training used in counselor/psychologist/therapist education and professional development. Little is known, however, about the format of peer supervision in clinical and counseling psychology doctoral programs, its effectiveness, or differences in the processes or outcomes of traditional supervision (supervisor of record and supervisee) and peer supervision (consultation between clinical trainees and/or graduate student classmates). The purpose of this study is to understand the stories of Asian American senior leaders of Fortune 600 companies. The intent was to identify common attributes and experiences that could be used to help emerging leaders along their journeys and American corporations improve workplace environment and retention of top Asian American talent. Thirty-two Asian American senior leaders of Fortune 600 companies participated in an online questionnaire which included the Suinn-Lew Asian Self-Identity Acculturation (SL-ASIA) Scale. This study explored to what extent, if at all, there was a relationship between District Sales Managers' (DMs) emotional intelligence (EQ) and their behavioral style, at Phyogen, Inc. Research demonstrated that leaders with higher levels of emotional intelligence are rated as more effective leaders (Kerr, Garvin, Heaton, & Boyle, 2005; Rosete & Ciarrochi, 2005). The literature also shows that EQ can in fact be learned and developed (Bradberry & Greaves, 2003; Cooper, 1997; Dulewicz & Higgs, 2000; Dulewicz & Higgs, 2004; Goleman, 1998; Groves, McEnrue, & Shen, 2006). The implications of living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) have evolved over the last 30 years. The view of HIV infection as an imminent death sentence has largely disappeared. From a practical perspective, HIV positive status is now medically treated as a chronic illness rather than as a terminal diagnosis. In response, the focus of psychological research and therapeutic practice has evolved to reflect the changing implications of living with HIV. This study documents how psychological literature regarding people living with HIV has changed over the course of the epidemic.

Trainees who treat sexually exploited children are helpless witnesses to long term psychological, social and physical effects of physical and sexual abuse trauma narratives. Trainees and those with limited training and self-care practices are at a greater risk for vicarious traumatization. One of the characteristics of the contracted or outsourced security officers' industry is its high turnover rate. The objective of this qualitative study was to explore some of the factors that contribute to security officer's permanence in their employing organizations. The study took place in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Eight security officers with more than a year's tenure, employed with 4 different companies, voluntarily agreed to participate in the research.
