It is evident that at least some of society shuns people who break laws and have negative views about the amount of money spent on detaining inmates. Thousands of individuals are released from United States prisons a day. Many of these individuals have no plan in place for their return home and are sent into the streets with nothing except for a jail ID. Most of these people will end up returning to prison. A conversation with Phyllis Chesler about Women and Madness, 47 years after publication, conducted by Jody Raphael. Chesler discusses her motive for writing Women and Madness and its early reception. She reflects on changes and lack of changes in views and treatment of women by society and the mental health system in the years since its publication. Her feminist analysis now includes Islamic fundamentalism, prostitution, and surrogacy, which are not always politically correct views among feminists today.

For years, the importance of mental health has been overlooked. In the past, individuals possessing unstable mental health were not only neglected, but were highly stigmatized. In the 20th century, these individuals were thought to have demonic roots—they were feared. The mentally ill have been institutionalized, deinstitutionalized, and institutionalized yet again. Some progress has been made in changing society’s perceptions and fierce stigmatization of mental health. There are many organizations in place today aimed at increasing awareness and reducing stigmatization, and they have helped, but not nearly enough. Fire and inspiration melted glass art’s enchanting ways into the center of my passions. Lampworking is a small-scale method of glass blowing, which is the term to refer to an art form where one shapes molten glass into a variety of items. To create glass art, propane and oxygen supply a flame torch which melts the glass. Gravity and rhythmic hands work symbiotically to shape glass rods and tubes. The result is unique three-dimensional visual art.

The role of eye witness testimony has drastically changed over the years and courts now rely more heavily on DNA evidence for conviction. Before the emergence of DNA evidence, convictions relied heavily on eye witness testimony however, there have been many individuals exonerated by DNA who were convicted mainly due to an eye witness testimony against them. Currently, in the United States, there have been 235 people exonerated by DNA evidence and more than three quarters of those exonerated were convicted because of an eye witness account against them. 3rd Grade Bullying Assessment, Jenna Moschetto

In the present study the sensitivity of violence of 3rd graders (N=106) was examined. Seven classes from two schools in different districts received a bullying questionnaire. Children scores on the questionnaire were analyzed through a coding system. Gender differences were found within the sensitivity of violence. Also, sensitivity scales were made in regards to each school district. Where bullying takes place in the school was also found.
