achtergrond Routine outcome monitoring (ROM) is een belangrijk kwaliteitsinstrument om effecten van behandeling zichtbaar te maken en wordt landelijk geïmplementeerd in de Nederlandse ggz. doel Evalueren van de wetenschappelijke stand van zaken betreffende de effectiviteit van ROM voor diagnostiek, behandeling en andere uitkomsten. methode Literatuuronderzoek in PubMed, Medline, Psycinfo en Embase Psychiatry (1975-2009) naar gerandomiseerde gecontroleerde trials (rct's) van ROM bij alle leeftijdsgroepen patiënten (algemeen en ggz). De voornaamste zoektermen waren 'routine outcome monitoring' c.q. 'routine outcome measurement'. resultaten Er werden 52 rct's geïncludeerd betreffende ROM bij volwassen patiënten. In the discussion of research experience on the quality of early childhood educational services, this article documents the first two phases of a longitudinal study funded by United Kingdom Department of Education. The Effective provision of pre-school and primary 1997-2008 is the largest European study on the effectiveness of preschool education. The article describes its aims, the sample, methodology and key findings over the preschool period. It goes on to emphasize the importance of 'quality' in child care settings and how good quality is essential for the enduring benefits of pre-school up to age 11.

Quels sont les déterminants de la mobilité résidentielle en Belgique ? Quand on déménage, quels sont les facteurs de choix d'une nouvelle commune de résidence ? Telles étaient les questions au cœur du projet MOBLOC. Dans ce cadre, un modèle a été développé en deux parties: un modèle de propension à migrer et un modèle de choix de nouvelle localisation. L'objectif étant de travailler avec un niveau de désagrégation spatiale fin (les 589 communes belges), des outils de micro-simulation étaient également nécessaires. Self-mixing interferometry (SMI) signals are observed from a laser diode (LD) with optical feedbacks induced by an external target. SMI signals carry information related to both of the target and parameters of the LDs. However, the noise contained in SMI signals greatly degrades the applications of the SMI systems. This paper proposes a wavelet transform based de-noising method which can effectively eliminate noise while keeping an SMI waveform less changed. This paper deals with the teaching of Spanish pronunciation to Irish students. If we want learners to achieve a good command of the sounds of Castilian Spanish, we must focus on the phonetic/phonological distance between English and Spanish; however, it is the phonetic/phonological distance between the regional variety of the L1 of the speaker and Castilian Spanish (the variety that we adopt as the target model) that will have the biggest influence in this learning process. The United Nations plays a leadership role in protecting the environment as well as people dislocated from their homes; however such roles remain mutually exclusive. At present, there is no United Nations framework for human mobility because of environmental change, even if among other factors. This article conducts a historical analysis of policy documents produced by the United Nations and subsidiary agencies. Specifically, this article unpacks different textual descriptions of people displaced by environmental change in selected United Nations documents over the last 40 years.
