An Operational Investigation Into The Relationships Among Projection, Empathy, And Reality, Patricia Ainsworth
An Operational Investigation Into The Relationships Among Projection, Empathy, And Reality, Patricia Ainsworth
Psychology ETDs
There has long been an interest among psychologists regarding the inner processes of the personality, but it has been only In recent years that an effort has been made to define and delineate these processes experimentally. Early writers in the field have often spoken of these less easily observed aspects such as insight, self-perception, perception of others, projection, the self concept, empathy, realism, etc., but only In recent years have investigators attempted scientifically and experimentally to define these and to show the relationships among such intrinsic processes. The need is great to show these relationships and to delineate clearly these …

New Methods Used To Study The Effects Of Acetylcholine In Conjunction With Forced Practice Upon The Transfer Of Handedness In Rats., Shephard Liverant
Psychology ETDs
The purpose of this study was to derive then experiment with various controls and techniques in an effort to avoid the faults found in previous methods used to study the effect or Ach upon the transfer of handedness in rats. The approach was to explore new possibilities, rather than adopt a specific design and then collect enough data either to verify or refute the hypothesis in question strictly within the limits of the specified experimental arrangement.
A Study Of The Relationship Between Visual Reversal Tendency And Reading Failure, Claramary Smith
A Study Of The Relationship Between Visual Reversal Tendency And Reading Failure, Claramary Smith
Student Work
In clinics and hospitals, in schools and other places where children are observed and rested, it has been a matter of observation for a long time that many young children see printed symbols in reverse.
Some clinicians have felt that this visual reversal tendency might be a definite deterrent in terms of reading difficulty.
Since records were available, it was decided that a statistical study could be undertaken in order to test this hypothesis.

A Parallel Group Experiment In Mental Hygiene With School Children, Ernest Herman Jackson Jr.
University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations
Mr. Bullis seemed to have a direct answer to the problem that was concerning the experimenter. However, after using his book for several years and in different grade levels: sixth, seventh and eighth, it became apparent that no such single remedy would change the behavior or personality of children in a basic sense. The lessons seemed to work best for the experiment with eighth grade pupils, but still he was not confident in this own mind that they were as effective as they might be; that is, to help boys and girls get along better with one another, to understand …
A Comparison Of Scores Of Negro And White Children On The Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children, John Robert Blakemore
A Comparison Of Scores Of Negro And White Children On The Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children, John Robert Blakemore
University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations
This investigation concerns the intelligence of the Negro population in relation to the white population. There is a considerable difference of opinion relating to the intelligence of the Negro. Some students in the field contend that the Negro's intelligence, as measured by the tests available for all individuals, is naturally lower due to hereditary factors. Other investigators (these seem to be in the majority1 believe that environment plays the major role in lowering their ability to gain a comparable score with white individuals.
