This study aims to present a scientometric analysis of the Marine Pollution Bulletin journal (MPB) during the period of 2008 to 2017. A total of 5416 publications were published during the period of 2008 to 2017 in the MPB journal. The paper covers the scientometric analysis of year-wise distribution of publications Out of total 5416; the maximum numbers of publications are in the year 2017 contributing 905 (16.71%) papers. The relative growth rate (RGR) has decreased from 2009 (0.63) to 2017 (0.18) and the doubling time has increased from 2009 (1.10) to 2017 (3.85) in the span of 10 years. …

This study showcases the escalation of research productivity of UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies), Dehradun for the time span of 10 years from 2008 to 2017. In total 892 publications has been retrieved from the Scopus database. Amongst them, 54.82 % are research articles published in scholarly journals and 36.32 % in Conference proceedings. Google Scholar (GS) is the only available global database for the citation analysis of Indian LIS journals. The present study is an attempt to highlight the citation output of research articles in DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology (DJLIT) published during the period 2006–2015. This study is based on Google Scholar data. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were applied in the study. 406 articles were published during 2006–2015, which were cited 4122 times in Google Scholar. This area is an interdisciplinary subject and developed dramatically over the last few decades. Scientometrics offers assess the quantitative analytical techniques with the development and growth of research in Environmental management.
