AbstractNigeria has many human and natural resources, but its citizens live in poverty because of a lack of sufficient policies in addition to mismanagement and misappropriation of resources. The purpose of this generic qualitative study was to explore the impact of government governance policies on socioeconomic development in Nigeria to provide strategic policy direction. The institutional analysis development framework served as the theoretical foundation. The research question focused on how diverse government governance policies have impacted socioeconomic development issues in Nigeria.
