Federated Research Information Management In R&D Organizations: Analysis Of Indian Research Information Network System (Irins), Sunil Tyagi

Purpose: The present study sought to analyze the IRINS implemented Research & Development Organizations in India, their top departments, scientist’s publications and citations of individual organization.

Methodology: The data were collected from the website of Indian Research Information Network System (IRINS) and the data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and using simple calculations.

Findings: The analysis finds that the CSIR-NAL has the highest scientist/faculty members 386 (47.02%). The CSIR-NIIST has the highest Scopus citation 39180(26.96%) and cross ref citation 43238(32.60%). The CSIR-NIIST ranks first with 2223 scholarly resources. The purpose of this study was to investigate the usefulness of smartphones in achieving educational goals. Moreover, this study also explores the required library services that should be accessible via smartphone. A quantitative research approach was adopted and a self-administered questionnaire was distributed among those students who currently using smartphones to answer the survey. Descriptive statistics were applied to analyze the purpose of the students in relation to use their smartphones. In 1883, the volcano Krakatau erupted and collapsed, causing the deaths of tens of thousands. The eruption was one of the first disasters to take place beyond the Dutch boundaries that received so much attention in the Netherlands. Although the disaster appealed to the imagination, it barely led to the publication of fiction. Only in Dutch Indies youth literature can one find something about the Krakatau. The subjects included 26 articles in Biomolecular Interactions, 17 papers in Genomics, 10 in Protein, and 2 in Evolutionary Biology. University Music Students’ Choice Of Music Listening Sources: Use Of Library Resources As Compared With Non-Academic Streaming Services, Marianna J. Czeisel, Veronica D. Smith

Publications and Research

The rise of streaming services and decline of analog media have affected academic music libraries in their traditional role as a resource of listening materials. This study examines the listening-source preferences of college-level music students across multiple institutions through a survey in which students compared electronic non-academic streaming services and both electronic and analog library multimedia collections to determine the factors that lead to the use of one source over the other. Findings indicate a strong preference for non-academic streaming services over library materials, emphasizing the importance of convenience. However, the perceived quality of library materials remains high among participants.

Indigenous Knowledge (IK) refers to traditional knowledge that play a key role in the sustainable development of human society. Nowadays, the importance of IK is recognized significantly. We focus on a citation analysis of scholarly publications on IK during 2015-2019. The main contribution of this paper is to highlight the most productive journals; author impact; ranking of cited journals, non-journals, authors, and documents; reference spectroscopy; the shared coupling of articles; and co-citation of cited-authors. Librarianship requires personnel who most times should be confident, competent, social and good team players. These good interpersonal behaviors are paramount for effective and productive library services. This study was undertaken to assess the relationship between self-esteem and emotional intelligence among librarians in Nigerian universities. 140 librarians consented to and participated in the study. Roosenberg Self-Esteem scale and Schutte Emotional Intelligence Test were used to assess self-esteem and emotional intelligence respectively.
