Use Of Cross-Connect Clusters To Optimize Routing In Stm-64-Based Sdh Optical Network Systems, Bret William Durrett

Regis University Student Publications (comprehensive collection)

With the migration to Synchronous Digital Hierarchy, which uses the concept of logical rings, for backbone transmission systems, one of the major concerns that has been brought up repeatedly is a method in which to bring sub-rate circuits from one ring to another without having to decompose the entire backbone data stream to its individual circuits. This is critically important since the backbone data rate can be as high as 10 Gigabits per second or greater and may carry several thousand circuits, ranging in data rate from less than 2.4 Kilobits per second to 2.5 Gbps (STM-16). One potential means …

Development Of Database And Web Site For D3multisport, Jay Garrison

Regis University Student Publications (comprehensive collection)

Before this project, D3Multisport.com did not have a software application to track and monitor personal and progress information on athletes training for triathlon events. The previous process was manual, and although it helped provide a training schedule for an athlete it required the data be updated by hand. The process of developing a training program on an excel spreadsheet provided a good basis for the athlete to start the program, but was not suited to make dynamic adjustments if not optimally suited for the athlete. The application created in this project was designed to keep a coach updated on the …

Integration Of Interactive Voice Response Unit And Outage Management System, Chaomei Jiang Aug 2005

Integration Of Interactive Voice Response Unit And Outage Management System, Chaomei Jiang

Regis University Student Publications (comprehensive collection)

This project provides a technical solution that integrates the Interactive Voice Response Unit (IVR) and the Outage Management System (OMS) for the Public Service Company. The IVR system is introduced because its automatic call logging functionality can process a large volume of phone calls from the customers reporting electrical service problems. This is a major improvement over the current Trouble Call Center (TCC) infrastructure that has a limited number of agents handling a relatively small number of customer calls. Because OMS can receive more calls, it then can predict the outage locations and causes more accurately, dispatch more repair crews …

A Prototype Industrial Maintenance Software System To Apply A Proactive Approach To Equipment Failure, Arnold Ralph Persinger

Regis University Student Publications (comprehensive collection)

This project proposes a technical solution to create a proactive approach to industrial equipment maintenance for a large paper manufacturing facility. The traditional method for scheduling maintenance on manufacturing equipment uses a reactive approach. Reactive maintenance essentially means to perform repairs on equipment after failure has occurred; the process of these repairs begins by acquiring needed replacement part(s) utilizing a SAP (Systems Applications Products) system for authorization and ordering. Actual repairs are carried out by craftsmen based on their general knowledge of a specific trade and any previous experience concerning the failed equipment. The part(s) order through the SAP system …

Best Practices For Customer Resource Management (Crm), Richard Poirier

Regis University Student Publications (comprehensive collection)

This thesis will help to define the best practices for implementing a CRM (Customer Resource Management) system in corporate enterprises. The notion that CRM is just an Information Technology Software Application is shortsighted. CRM is a more global design incorporating vendors, supply chains, enterprises, and customers. In presenting this dissertation, I follow proven and respected processes in order to set a foundation that is necessary for a structured research framework to identify best practices in CRM systems.
