Proxy Carbon Life Cycle Cost Calculator Tool V2.0, Alexander R. Barron, Breanna J. Parker, Susan Stratton Sayre

Year on Climate Change: Other Materials

The Smith College Proxy Carbon Life Cycle Cost Calculator is a tool designed to include climate impacts in the evaluation of present and future costs of projects on campus. At the request of the Study Group on Climate Change, this Excel tool was developed as part of the implementation of a proxy carbon price at Smith College.

Spreadsheet calculator to support proxy carbon pricing based on life cycle cost analyses. The tool targets small institutions.

Particle Size Effects On Mid-Ir Spectra Of Lunar Analog Minerals In A Simulated Lunar Environment, Katherine Shirley, Timothy Glotch Apr 2019

Particle Size Effects On Mid-Ir Spectra Of Lunar Analog Minerals In A Simulated Lunar Environment, Katherine Shirley, Timothy Glotch

Geosciences Research Data

Mid‐infrared spectroscopic analysis of the Moon and other airless bodies requires a full accounting of spectral variation due to the unique thermal environment in airless body regoliths and the substantial differences between spectra acquired under airless body conditions and those measured in an ambient environment on Earth. Because there exists a thermal gradient within the upper hundreds of microns of lunar regolith, the data acquired by the Diviner Lunar Radiometer Experiment are not isothermal with wavelength. While this complication has been previously identified, its effect on other known variables that contribute to spectral variation, such as particle size and porosity, …

Research Datasets

The remote Kimberley coast of north-western Australia is one of the few marine environments domains on earth largely unaffected by human use. However, the region is undergoing increasing economic importance as a destination for tourism and significant coastal developments associated with oil and gas exploration. The objective of the project was to reconstruct a timeline of inferred water quality changes from the sediment record for a selected set of sites in the Kimberley, Western Australia. The project made use of palaeoecological approaches to reconstruct a chronology of change over the last approximately 100 years using a series of biogeochemical proxies …
