Period poverty is the persistent lack of access to sanitary products, menstrual hygiene education, and sanitary facilities (Alvarez, 2019). Until quite recently, it has received very little attention in the United States. This project proved the prevalence and relevance of period poverty in the United States. As an applied research project this project acted upon this finding and aimed to help combat period poverty in the Bowling Green, OH community. A crisis pregnancy center (CPC) is an anti-abortion organization that “counsels” pregnant individuals while pretending to be pro-choice, often giving out false or misleading medical information and discouraging sex outside of marriage. These centers are usually affiliated with evangelical Christian groups and outnumber actual abortion clinics: it is estimated by pro-life groups that over 2,500 CPCs currently operate across the United States.

This study investigates the causes and effects of the lack of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) at the Bowling Green State University (BGSU). The study draws on previous research about sexual assault reporting, deterrents to reporting, national prevalence studies, how psychological re-victimization occurs, and the importance of sexual assault nurse examiners. The data included is previous literature, interviews, and ethnographic research about the town Bowling Green, OH. The primary data for this research comes from interviews with the SANEs at the Wood County Hospital. Comparison of Body Composition Assessment Techniques in Older Adult Females
Introduction: As the aging population increases, the need for accurate assessment of chronic disease risk also increases. There is considerable debate over the best way to assess this risk. BMI is a weight-to-height ratio that is commonly used to assess adiposity and obesity related risk. However, it does not differentiate lean (i.e., muscle and bone) versus fat mass – the true predictors of obesity-related diseases (e.g., cardiovascular disease and diabetes). This is prevalent in post-menopausal women who often experience age-related gains in fat mass and losses in lean mass.
