The purpose of this Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Scholarly Project was to determine whether participants’ knowledge of the updated guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of the obese patient with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is increased following a continuing education presentation. The increase in the knowledge of PCOS guidelines for an obese patient is documented using a pretest/ posttest method following the continuing education program which utilizes a PowerPoint presentation.
