Non-substance and substance related addictive disorders contribute a high global disease burden with relatively poor treatment options with poor craving control and high relapse rates. CBT is a well-documented treatment modality which is the cornerstone for top-down behavioral management of cravings and preventing relapse, but its clinical efficacy is limited.
