Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) disease (COVID-19) pandemic has hit the world hard. Millions of people have died due to the infection and several have suffered with what are now known as post COVID-19 squeal. Among these squeals one is immunosuppression which leaves patients prone to severe opportunistic infection. We here report a case of young female who was infected by COVID-19 and later developed cavitary pneumonia which upon investigation turned out to be due to mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis involving almost any organ of the body is a major problem in developing countries. The most commonly affected site in tuberculosis is the lung. Of the extra pulmonary tuberculosis, musculoskeletal involvement accounts for 1-5% of the cases. Muscular involvement in tuberculosis is a rare manifestation of extra pulmonary tuberculosis. Unusual presentations often go undetected and are associated with a diagnostic and therapeutic delay. This case report presents tuberculosis of the flexor carpi radialis.

Notes from the lectures of Jacob Mendes Da Costa taken by 1887 graduate of Jefferson Medical College William W. H. Wehner. Jacob Mendes Da Costa served in the U.S. Army during the American Civil War and undertook research on "irritable heart" (neurocirculatory asthenia) in soldiers, research that was of landmark importance in clinical medicine. After the Civil War, Da Costa continued his teaching at the Pennsylvania Hospital (1865-1900). He began at Jefferson Medical College as a lecturer on clinical medicine (1866-1872), then professor of theory and practice of medicine (1872-1891), and finally professor emeritus (1891-1900).
