The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of pH changes and SSC margin trimming on nickel release in artificial saliva solution. Methods: A total of 90 SSCs were divided into three groups and placed in 35 ml of artificial saliva of pH 6.8, 5, and 3.5. Objective: This study aimed to determine the clinical profile of the gingival lesions of oral lichen planus (OLP) in a group of Thai patients. Methods: The dental records of 67 patients were reviewed. Results: In this study, 51 (76.1%) women and 16 (23.9%) men with a female-to-male ratio of 3.2:1 were included. The average age of patients with OLP was 56.0 ± 12.5 years (ranged = 20–81 years). Furthermore, 52 (77.6%) patients had a history of systemic diseases, and hypertension was predominant. Gingival enlargement (GE) is a condition in which the size of the gingiva increases in response to inflammation, systemic disease, or certain medications including anticonvulsants, calcium-channel blockers, and immunosuppressants. This report describes the management of two cases involving severe gingival enlargement related to the use of an anti-hypertensive calcium-channel blocker and an immunosuppressant. Besides taking amlodipine, one patient had undergone a heart transplantation seven years prior and has been taking two immunosuppressant drugs, mycophenolate and tacrolimus.
