Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML) is a progressive demyelinating disease caused by the John Cunningham Virus (JCV). There is no FDA approved JCV- specific treatment. This case report examines interventions administered to address low back pain (LBP) and functional mobility deficits.

The purpose is to determine how knee angles change during specific stages of the walking gait compared to research. The subject is a young, healthy, moderately active adult, so it is hypothesized that the subject’s knee angle change during each stage will fall within the range of a healthy adult’s walking gait.

The purpose of this case study is to determine the effects of core stabilization and pelvis mobility training for a 28-week pregnant female to improve function and decrease pain.
Low back pain during pregnancy is a common occurrence that affects a majority of the population.1 Over the five treatment sessions, the patient was able to tolerate a full ten-hour work shift and sleep through the night. She also showed improvements in muscle strength and flexibility. As seen in non-pregnant females, the patient was able to have a decrease in pain and improvement in function with these techniques.4

There is a clinical need to evaluate the effectiveness of nonoperative versus operative treatment of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)-medial collateral ligament (MCL) combined knee injury. The incidence of these injuries is frequent in athletic populations and requires the best treatment for optimal patient outcomes and function in day-to-day life as well as athletics. The appraisal focuses on whether or not to pair ACL reconstruction with MCL reconstruction or ACL reconstruction with MCL bracing. Background: The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is comprised of seven tests to identify compensatory movement patterns that may increase injury risk and reduce performance. A modified FMS (MFMS) was created by Augsburg Athletic Trainers to improve screening efficiency and includes three original FMS tests: shoulder mobility, active straight leg raise, trunk stability pushup, and a newly added test; the vertical drop jump (VDJ), all scored on a simplified 0-2 scale.
