National Convention On World Homoeopathy Day – A Conference Report, Anupam Mukherjee, Divya Taneja, Anil Khurana

Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy organized a scientific convention on the World Homoeopathy Day on 10th and 11thApril, 2021 to commemorate the 266th birth anniversary of Dr Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, India. The theme of the conference was ‘Homoeopathy – Roadmap for Integrative Medicine’. There were oral presentations and a panel discussion during the convention organized in the hybrid mode, with participants and presenters attending the convention either physically, or remotely through video link. Recommendations to develop a roadmap for Homoeopathy for integrative care were also proposed during the convention. …

Internationalization within nursing programs is essential to provide nurses with cultural competence and for nursing students to gain an international perspective. It has also been shown to be effective to gain a cultural understanding. This paper aims to illuminate and explain the experiences that Swedish nursing students had while they engaged in clinical training during an exchange program in India and to provide a comparison between the health service in both countries. Therefore, Attitudes, Ethics, and Communication (AETCOM) module has been implemented by the Medical Council of India (MCI) as a structured program to train and develop professional skills among the first year MBBS students in medical colleges in India since 2019. The elderly population, specifically the residents in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or nursing homes, suffer from chronic conditions, many of which have a psychological and behavioral component. Conventional medicine treats the chronic conditions from one symptom to another through pharmacological interventions, which resulted in polypharmacy. Gathering evidenced-base practice of Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) will maximize opportunities for the elderly population to manage chronic conditions. The application of Parse’s Theory of Human Becoming (HBT) with self-guided education of CAM modalities in SNF explores the significant concepts of personal meaning, rhythmical patterns, and transcendence. National studies revealed the transgender population has barriers to positive health outcomes, but also showed evidence of resilience. A focus on health strengths such as resilience may help mitigate health barriers. This work focused on the sociodemographic predictors of and interrelationships between resilience, sense of coherence (SOC), and health perception. There were three aims of this work. The first aim was to review the literature surrounding resilience and SOC in the adult transgender population.
