The COVID-19 pandemic, declared by the WHO on May 2020, has forced governments around the world to adapt several restrictive measures causing difficulties of access to oral healthcare. Background: The spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has led to a major public health issue. This study aimed to assess the factors that influence the Lebanese people in undergoing an orthodontic treatment after the outbreak of COVID-19, as well as the factors that influence their choice of orthodontic appliance type. Methods: 489 Lebanese participants (199 men and 290 women) were invited to fill a questionnaire developed on Google Forms. Shaggy's Skis in Boyne City, Michigan, repurposed its ski manufacturing operations to create essential personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. After their Facebook post asking how they could aid pandemic efforts, McLaren Hospital approached them with a request to manufacture protective face shields. Shaggy's responded by producing over 150,000 disposable shields for McLaren Health System hospitals, keeping their team employed during the shutdown. They also created shields for dental professionals, accommodating optical loops and light.
