Objective: To examine outcomes of older adults who participate in physical activity intervention programs, whether there is a significant difference in group and individual based physical activity interventions, and assess promise of older adult behavior change post-intervention. Methods: Literature review using seventeen previously published data on physical activity intervention programs for older adults. Results: Studies suggest that physical activity program intervention for older adults show improved physical and mental outcomes. Group-based interventions are more successful for program adherence. Aphasia is one of the most common consequences of stroke and affects the communication and social functioning of approximately 30-35% of stroke survivors. Despite the importance of speech-language pathology (SLP) services for individuals with post-stroke aphasia, aphasia rehabilitation services in sub-Saharan Africa are riddled with challenges. Through interviews, demographic information, and syllabi reviews, we examined the SLP assessment and treatment services available for individuals with post-stroke aphasia in Ghana and the challenges the stakeholder groups encounter in providing and identifying such services. Multiple sclerosis is characterized by damaged nerves that result in incomplete signal processing between the brain and the spinal cord. The symptoms of this condition can include vision loss, decreased coordination, pain, fatigue, and deteriorating motor output. The severity of the symptoms and the rate of progression of multiple sclerosis can vary from person to person; some individuals live the majority of their lives with mild symptoms while others become bedridden and immobile.
