Comparison Of The Accuracy Of Implant Position Using Different Drilling System For Static Computer-Assisted Implant Surgery: In Vitro Study, Paknisa Sittikornpaiboon Jan 2020

Comparison Of The Accuracy Of Implant Position Using Different Drilling System For Static Computer-Assisted Implant Surgery: In Vitro Study, Paknisa Sittikornpaiboon

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

Purpose: The aim of this in vitro study was to compare the accuracy of implant placement among five drilling systems of sCAIS. Materials and Methods: Twenty-five 3D printed models with two edentulous bilateral premolar spaces were allocated to five different drilling systems: group A: sleeve-in-sleeve, group B: sleeve-in-sleeve with self-locking, group C: mounted sleeve-on-drill, group D: integrated sleeve-on-drill with metal sleeve in the guide, group E: integrated sleeve-on-drill without metal sleeve. All implants were digitally planned and 10 implants placed with sCAIS in each group. Postoperative 3D deviation of actual vs planned position was measured by means of platform, apex …

Comparing Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Among 3 Methods Of Dental Implant Placement, Sunida Engkawong Jan 2020

Comparing Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Among 3 Methods Of Dental Implant Placement, Sunida Engkawong

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

The purpose of this study was to compare patient-reported outcome measures including post-operative pain, swelling, patient's expectation and satisfaction among 3 techniques of dental implant placement including a) conventional freehand, b) dynamic, and c) static Computer-Aided Implant Surgery. Ninety patients were randomly assigned to receive dental implant placement with one of the 3 protocols. Participants were asked to fill in a series of self-administered questionnaires assessing 1) pre-operative expectations, 2) post-operative healing events during the first week after surgery, and 3) overall satisfaction with the procedures at two weeks. Eighty-eight patients completed the study, 2 patients in dynamic CAIS group …

The Effect Of Acemannan In Implant Placement With Simultaneous Bone Graft In Esthetic Zone : A Randomized Controlled Trial, Nataporn Deesricharoenkiat Jan 2020

The Effect Of Acemannan In Implant Placement With Simultaneous Bone Graft In Esthetic Zone : A Randomized Controlled Trial, Nataporn Deesricharoenkiat

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

Background: Acemannan, a linear polysaccharide produced by Aloe vera has been shown to have important biological functions promoting wound healing and tissue regeneration. Objective: The aim of this randomized clinical trial was to investigate the impact of acemannan in guided bone regeneration (GBR) with simultaneous implant. Materials and methods: Twenty patients were randomly allocated to test- (Deproteinized bovine bone with Acemannan particulate with mean size of 32.45µm) and control groups (Deproteinized bovine bone only). Twenty implants were placed with simultaneous GBR. CBCT radiographic measurements were conducted immediately and at 3- and 6-months post-surgery. Vertical and horizontal dimensions of the buccal …

Effect Of Vitamin C Solution On Microtensile Bond Strength And Fracture Resistance Of Non-Vital Bleached Tooth Restored With Resin Composite, Pimduean Sivavong Jan 2020

Effect Of Vitamin C Solution On Microtensile Bond Strength And Fracture Resistance Of Non-Vital Bleached Tooth Restored With Resin Composite, Pimduean Sivavong

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of vitamin C containing sodium ascorbate prepared solution on dentin bond strength of resin composite to non-vital bleached tooth and on fracture resistance of restored non-vital bleached tooth. Sixty (30 pairs, left and right) extracted sound human maxillary premolar teeth were collected from 30 patients. All teeth were endodontically treated and each pair was randomized assigned into microtensile bond strength and fracture resistance tests. The teeth were divided into 3 groups for each test which were 1) non-bleach tooth, 2) bleached with 35% hydrogen peroxide and immediately restored with resin …

Microrna Profiles Associated With Bone Healing Of The Extraction Socket In Bisphosphonate Related Osteonecrosis Of The Jaw In Rat Model, Thapakorn Surajkulwatana Jan 2020

Microrna Profiles Associated With Bone Healing Of The Extraction Socket In Bisphosphonate Related Osteonecrosis Of The Jaw In Rat Model, Thapakorn Surajkulwatana

Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)

Bisphoshonates (BPs) are widely used for treating osteoporosis, multiple myeloma, breast cancer, and bone metastasis cancer. Trauma or tooth extraction in patients treated with BPs can lead to MRONJ development because of its mechanism of action by which interferes bone homeostasis and angiogenesis. Once MRONJ has occurred, this hard-to-cure disease posed the risk of having poor quality of life to the patients. The application of miRNA for curing the diseases is now being of interest in medical field. Aiming at elucidating the role of miRNAs in the pathogenesis of MRONJ, a rat model was used in creating MRONJ and the …
