This study was processed to establish the effect of the addition of different amounts of sodium bicarbonate during the laying period in quail diets. In this study, the influence of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism on the egg quality in 5 week-female Japanese quails was investigated. Possibilities Of Utilizing First Carbonation Sludge From The Sugar Industry As A Calcium Source In Layer Diets, Güray Erener, B. Zehra Sariçi̇çek

This study was carried out to investigate the possible use of first carbonation sludge from the sugar industry in layer diets. 324 Babcock B-300 hens were used. Ground marble was replaced in the experimental diets by the sludge to provide the calcium requirements at the rates of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100%, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that there were significant differences between percentages (P0.05).
