The Contract Dentist Project was launched by the government to solve the problem of lacking dentists in the rural areas. The government specified that the dentist having graduated since 1989 was the contract dentist. It is incumbent upon all contract dentists to work for the government in the specific areas for 3 years. However, the subsequent problem is the indemnifying 400,000 baht for rescinding the contracts by the contract dentists. The problem has an inclination to increase every year.
