The mission of this practicum experience is to provide the highest quality of care to all children and their families regardless of their ability to pay.

From this experience I was able to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Behavioral Health programs and services at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Additionally, I facilitated the Eating Disorder Intake Process Team Discussion. I attended daily huddles and engaged in discussion while learning from professional leaders. This also included regularly being hands-on in activities and attending all meetings, providing feedback, and debriefing with the site-supervisor.

Fairfield Medical Center encompasses Cancer care, diabetes managements, emergency care, Gastroenterology, Heartburn Care, Hospice Care, Infectious Disease, Maternity Care, Neurology, Obstetrics & Gynecology Care, and Orthopedic Care.

From a physical therapy standpoint, FMC operates two outpatient clinics, and one inpatient service at the hospital. There are over 40 therapists who will either stay primarily at outpatient and inpatient, and some float between the two depending on the volume of patients.

These meetings were to occur every Saturday over Zoom, starting in October of 2020. There were 14 different presentations, dispersed among the 3 AVI members to present on their corresponding day. Gastrocnemius equinus contracture plays a role in a multitude of patient pathologies, conditions, and deformities seen in podiatric medicine (Barrett, 2011). Equinus deformity is associated with over 96% of the biomechanically-related foot and ankle pathologies including hallux valgus, metatarsalgia, capsulitis, pes planus, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, and others (Deheer, 2015). These pathologies are linked with a decreased range of motion in the ankle joint specifically in dorsiflexion. This study investigated the effects blue light from self-luminous devices has on adult sleeping patterns. We investigated sleep quality and duration qualitatively with a randomized, double-blind, cross-over, placebo-controlled design with a wash-out period. Participants wore blue light blocking lenses or placebo lenses whenever they were using a self-luminous device throughout each day for one week. Each morning, participants filled out a survey to report their number of hours slept, time to fall asleep, and amount of time spent on self-luminous devices. Participants took the Pittsburgh Insomnia Rating Scale (PIRS) at the end of the one week trial (See Appendix A). …
