Individualized Homoeopathic Treatment Of Phobic Anxiety Disorders – A Case Series, Deepthi Gilla, Akhila A. L., Sreelakshmy S. R, N D. Mohan

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Phobic anxiety disorders (PAD) are common distressing and disabling disorders that reduce the quality of life of an individual. Clinical trials of phobic disorders in conventional treatment are not yet substantiated with too many positive results. Homoeopathy is a well established therapeutic system with potential relevance to psychiatry but has a limited database and its effectiveness in certain disorders such as Phobic disorders is yet to be explored. Cases of phobias, which have been cured in routine homoeopathic practice remain anecdotal. This case series generates preliminary evidence for the usefulness of homoeopathy in phobic disorders. Well planned research studies …

Venous Ulcer And Stasis Dermatitis Treated With Classical Homoeopathy: A Case Series, Seema Mahesh, Mahesh Mallappa, Viraj Shah, George Vithoulkas

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Chronic venous disease is responsible for a great deal of the global disease burden due to its prevalence and socio-economic impact. Non-invasive methods of dealing with the resulting ulcers, that negatively impact mobility, are desirable. Cases Summary: We present five cases of stasis dermatitis and venous ulcers of varying severity, treated with individualised classical homoeopathy showing progress as recorded with the comprehensive classification system for chronic venous disorders (clinical aetiology anatomical pathophysiology) score and venous clinical severity score. There is a need to further investigate scientifically, the role of classical homoeopathy in peripheral vascular diseases.

Elderly Patient With Post-Herpetic Neuralgia Treated With Homoeopathic Medicine: A Case Report, Suraia Parveen, Subhrasankha Das

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) is the most troublesome complication of herpes zoster (HZ). It often occurs in elderly and immunocompromised persons. PHN is a chronic neuropathic pain that can persist months to years after HZ rashes have healed. The persisting pain causes physical and psychological distress and negatively impacts the quality of life. The conventional method of treatment (CMT) is often only partially effective. In patients with inadequate response, or intolerance to current conventional treatments for pain relief, homoeopathy may be considered. Case Summary: A 64-year-old woman presented with severe neuralgic pain on the right upper chest wall and upper …

Further, we propose our simple and economical method to differentiate it with a closely related species, Rumex crispus. Materials and Methods: The physicochemical study measuring several parameters was done. The pH of the mother tincture (MT) and the water extract was measured and compared. Furthermore, the chemical composition of the Rumex acetosella MT were compared with taxonomically closely related Rumex …

A Case Report Of Hyperuricaemia With Nephrolithiasis Treated With Homoeopathy, Pooja Gautam

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Hyperuricaemia is serum urate concentration exceeding the limit of solubility, leading to its precipitation and predisposing the affected persons to gout. The increased level of uric acid in urinary excretion can also lead to nephrolithiasis. It has also been implicated as an indicator for diseases such as metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease and chronic renal disease. Whereas homoeopathic literature enlists many medicines for this condition, there is a paucity of evidence-based published studies. Case Summary: The case presented here reported with the complaint of renal stone secondary to high serum uric acid levels. A single homoeopathic medicine Lycopodium …
