Clinical reviews of Fournier’s Gangrene state that diagnostic protocol includes interpreting CT, MRI, or Ultrasound imaging along with clinical symptoms and lab findings. We think that the use of imaging techniques as a diagnostic tool is no longer needed as Fournier’s Gangrene is specific enough of a disease that clinicians can diagnose using labs and physical examination alone.

The COVID-19 pandemic saw rapid adoption of telehealth, including remote patient monitoring (RPM). There is limited evidence about how patients and staff experience such services in New Zealand. This study aimed to understand the acceptability of the RPM experience, particularly for Maori and Pacific peoples, and identify strengths, gaps, and limitations to inform future delivery of services. It includes moments of narrative catharsis, interspersed with repeated reminders that the stories are unfinished and open-ended—that the solutions lie out there, in social action, rather than in the stories themselves. Electrolyte abnormalities, including hyponatremia, are a known outcome of bowel preparations used for colonoscopy. Severe and symptomatic hyponatremia after bowel preparation is uncommon and occurs due to excessive release of ADH among other contributing factors. Risk factors for developing hyponatremia after bowel preparation include increased age, female gender, kidney disease, heart failure, and use of various medications. We present the case of a 78-year-old female who presented with altered mental status and possible seizures after completing bowel preparation with polyethylene glycol for a colonoscopy. Introduction: Assessments of post-operative patients that have been carried out by health care providers before critical opioid-induced respiratory events often do not detect respiratory depression. We hypothesise that opioidinduced respiratory patterns present during sleep may not be properly recognised as providers typically awaken patients for vital sign checks, and awake state assessment is recorded. Background: Cardiac arrest contributes to 300,000 to 450,000 deaths in the United States every year. Individuals who survive cardiac arrest often still die after resuscitation.
