Dementia is the top global public health threat of the twenty first century. Within the dementia spectrum, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common type of dementia that occurs with aging and accounts for about 60% - 80% of diagnosed cases. But currently available discoveries failed to develop disease-modifying therapies for all patients living with AD. Recent discoveries can only partially slow down cognitive decline in a small subset of patients with limited effectiveness.
