Practicing What You Preach: The Health Behaviors Of Nurses, Catherine Anjali Prabhu

This research study investigated the relationship between the health behaviors nurses commonly teach to their patients and the behaviors they practice themselves. After receiving the 194 completed surveys, a thorough analysis of variables was completed to determine which educational topics are most frequently included in patient education as well as if these variables are related to the health behaviors nurses practice themselves. It was evident that many nurses who report educating their patients on healthier lifestyles do not implement all of these practices into their own lives.
