Background: Given the current climate of the pandemic, lung cancer patients are especially vulnerable to complications from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection. As a high-risk population group, these patients are strongly advised to receive coronavirus disease 2019 vaccination in accordance with Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to minimize morbidity and mortality. In this case report, we explore a case of small cell bladder carcinoma in a 75-year-old man with a history of smoking. This is a unique, aggressive subtype of bladder cancer which, in this patient, presented with gross hematuria. Workup included cystoscopy and transurethral resection of the bladder tumor, and pathological confirmation of the diagnosis elicited a referral to oncology for staging CT and potential chemotherapeutic measures. Background: Brain abscesses caused by Nocardia are rarely reported and have high mortality. It usually affects patients who are immunocompromised and initiates as a lung infection that disseminates hematogenously, though it can also affect those immunocompetent. Cerebral nocardiosis imitates brain tumors, which can delay the initiation of the appropriate antibiotic therapy.

Case Description: We present a case of a 64-year-old immunocompetent male with multiple cerebral abscesses who presented with headaches, left-sided weakness, and ataxia. Introduction:Intestinal ischemia can be caused by any process that reduces intestinal blood flow. Mesenteric venous thrombosis (MVT) describes thrombosis of the superior or inferior mesenteric vein, and represents approximately 10 percent of all cases of acute mesenteric ischemia. The incidence of MVT has increased over the past 40 years, likely as a result of greater use of abdominal CT, and may present with acute abdominal pain or as an asymptomatic incidental finding on abdominal imaging.
