Barclay, submitted to the University of Nashville for the Doctor of Medicine degree and entitled "Dysentery of Warren and Simpson Counties, Ky., 1854.” He offers his hypothesis about the cause of a dysentery epidemic in 1854 in Simpson and Warren counties in Kentucky.
