Introduction. Diabetes mellitus (DM) patients have a higher risk of tuberculosis (TB) infection, including the risk of drug- resistant (DR)-TB infection, compared to those without DM. Data on the characteristics of pulmonary DR-TB with DM in Indonesia are still very limited. The management of pulmonary DR-TB with DM should consider multiple factors, such as drug interactions between DM medication and anti-TB drugs, as well as potential exacerbation of DM complications by anti-TB drugs side effects. Introduction. Atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) is a logarithmic calculation of the ratio of triglycerides to HDL cholesterol as a marker of lipid profile abnormalities. In COVID-19 patients with comorbid type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), higher AIP tend to worsen the patient conditions. Introduction.People with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are at a higher risk of mortality from COVID-19. This study aimed to identify the relationship between T2DM and the outcome of COVID-19 patients in Sanglah Hospital Denpasar, Bali. Methods. An observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach was conducted among COVID-19 patients. We used secondary data from the records of confirmed COVID-19 patients who were treated at Sanglah Hospital on 1 August 2020 – 28 February 2022. Sample were selected with total sampling technique. Introduction. Type 2 diabetes melitus is the leading cause of cardiovascular event with high level of low-density lipoprotein as the main predictor marker of atherosclerosis. PCSK9 plays a role in LDL-receptor regulation, its association with atherosclerosis had been investigated but the result is inconsistent. This study aimed to examine the association between PCSK9 level and atherosclerosis in people with type 2 diabetes.

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is one of the macrovascular complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), which increases the risk of cardiovascular mortality. Ankle-brachial index (ABI) is one of the simple and widely available tool to diagnose PAD. The authors aim to find out the cardiovascular mortality in T2DM patient with PAD.
